Haven't done this in a while, but here is a list of what I've been burning through lately:
Alkaline Trio - This Addiction
Stone Temple Pilots - Between the Lines CDS (I am pumped about the new album)
Gaslight Anthem - American Slang
Rocket Overdrive - Not You (this band sounds a lot like Stray Cats/Brian Setzer kinda sound, good groove to it)
Jonathan Tyler and the Northern Lights - Pardon Me (Speaking of groove, this band lays it down HARD.)
The Black Keys - Brothers
and last but not least, Broken Bells, which is Danger Mouse's new project with Shins frontman James Mercer. Really cool sound, I would recommend this to anyone. Also, I'm going to see them in Athens at the good old 40 Watt on June 11th! |

| New STP comes out May 25th, they have been playing the first single off the album on the radio "Between The Lines." Sounds pretty awesome, so glad they got back together! |

| That show was ridiculously awesome last night! Equally awesome was hangin' with 'Tro. If any of you guys have not checked out Broken Bells, do yourself a favor. Interesting opening band, The Morning Benders. They had a pretty good sound. |

that Dirty Heads w/ Rome song, Lay me Down, is pretty tight. i had no idea they had a project going on since bradley died... kinda cool.
bradley was sick tho, hard to replace him. _________________

Phish is coming to charlotte this weekend.
i have some friends coming up to go to the show and i can't figure out if i wish i was going or if it's lame that a bunch of 30+'ers are going to a phish show... lol.
anyone still listen to them? ever listen to them? i've had them up on youtube and it's a blast from the past, haha. good stuff but i laugh at the people i see in the audience dancing around like they are in a trance in their hippie dresses and dreadlocks. ahhh, the good ol' days. i can almost smell the patchouli thru the monitor. :p _________________

I used to listen to Phish a little when i was in middle and high school because my brother was a real big Phish head. He was at that fucking ridiculous 2000 new years show. _________________

just heard a group and a song that i never heard before that was pretty tight.
Brain, by Jungle Brothers. definitely in the realm of tribe and pharcyde. beat was tight, keys were tight, i didn't catch all the lyrics but they seemed straight. any opinions on them? _________________
